By collaborating with Momentary, you can help us work
towards a more equal, just and sustainable world.
✓ Working exclusively with projects and programs that benefit the community,
✓ Providing discounts to charities and foundations (who may not otherwise be able to afford our services),
✓ Creating training and employment opportunities for migrants and refugees through our paid internship program.
The media industry lacks diversity, and we wanted to do something about it.
So we created a paid training and employment program for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to help them tell their own stories and pursue their dream career.
So far, we've provided over 200 hours of paid employment.
Case Study: Aref Ramazani
Aref Ramazani, a young Hazara man who sought asylum in Australia in 2009, completed a paid internship with Momentary in 2018. He found, despite having a Bachelor of Communications from RMIT University, gaining employment in the industry wasn’t easy.
“There’s a lot of challenges, especially coming from a refugee background – not only for me, but for other young people as well – there’s a lack of language, lack of networks and connections, lack of job searching skills and other issues, such as discrimination.”
“I’ve been given that first step into the media industry and can use this as a reference for my future career.”
WE TELL STORIES ON THE LAND OF THE WURUNDJERI PEOPLE.
