Momentary is a team of storytellers who

    are passionate about social change.

  • Michael Johnston, Momentary, Team, Creative Director, Social Entrepreneur, Filmmaker, Founder, Melbourne, Social Impact, Social Enterprise

Whilst volunteering in Australia, India and South America, Michael realised that there were many people around the world in need and he wanted to do something about it. Michael discovered his love for documentary filmmaking whilst studying at university, and decided to combine this passion with his desire to make the world a better place. After producing videos for charities as a freelance filmmaker, he began to understand the powerful nature of social impact storytelling, and Momentary was born.

Greta Robenstone, Momentary, Melbourne, Video Production, Editor, Filmmaker, Social Impact, Social Enterprise

After completing her degree in Communications at RMIT University, Greta worked as a freelance videographer for a range of clients before finding her niche as an Editor. With a keen interest in documentary and social justice issues, Greta loves the opportunity to hear and help tell stories from the not-for-profit sector.

Charles Alexander, Charlie Alexander, Cinematographer, Momentary, Film, Documentary, Video Production, Social Impact, Social Enterprise

Charles studied Film and Television at the Victorian College of the Arts and has since worked on many shorts, commercials, music videos, long form series and features. Since falling in love with documentary, he splits his time between fiction and factual, and enjoys observing how one can inform the other. Charles is passionate about stories that have the power to change hearts and mind, which is why he's very excited to be part of the Momentary team.

Naomi Ball, Producer, Director, Momentary, Team, Video Production, Melbourne, Social Impact, Social Enterprise

Naomi began her career in communications, working for one of Australia’s largest agencies, Haystac, with government and corporate clients, and in-house for not-for-profits Very Special Kids and Brotherhood of St Laurence.

Having always been inspired by the power of film to create social change, she retrained at Victorian College of the Arts and AFTRs before working as a producer, director and assistant director on short films, web series and commissioned projects. She was thrilled to find a home at Momentary combining her passions for film and social justice.
