Who are we?

Momentary is a Melbourne-based video production company that uses documentary storytelling to help brands connect with their community.

We believe that documentary storytelling is incredibly powerful - it can broaden our horizons, deepen our empathy, and help us tap into the stuff that makes us human. And that's what makes us different.

As a certified B Corp, we've produced hundreds of stories for many organisations that are working towards a more inclusive and sustainable world. But we're only just getting started.

What’s the gig?

The Senior Video Editor will work directly with the Creative Director to help realise the creative vision of each project.

You will be responsible for organising and storing all video assets, contributing to brainstorms and ideation sessions, and transforming raw footage (including interviews and observational b-roll footage) into compelling narratives that align with the creative brief.

The successful candidate will be based in Melbourne, and they will be required to work at least two days per week on a 3-month contract. Our studio is in Brunswick East, but we’re open to discussing hybrid working arrangements for the right person.

Who are we looking for?

We’re on the hunt for someone that believes in the power of documentary storytelling, and has:

• Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit premium documentary-style branded video content,
• Basic / mid-level colour grading skills,
• Basic / mid-level sound mixing skills,
• Basic motion graphic design skills,
• High-level organisation and communication skills,
• A love for genuine collaboration, as well as the capacity to use initiative and work autonomously
• A positive vibe, and
• A desire to contribute to the world in a positive way.
